Hi all,

this is to be a little tribute to a true masterpiece of engineering and trusted professional workhorse of the analog photography era, the Nikon F5, released in 1996. At the same time it's an attempt to achieve a good level of cg-realism.
I've tried to make it look worn out as some of the pro machines after a couple of years happened to be.

The model and textures were done in Cinema 4D R 11.5, output in Maxwell Render 2.5, Postwork in Photoshop.

Hope you like it !

Cheers

Nice modeling. Not photorealistic but i rather like the illustrative feel to it.

Bad habit, allowing camera to rest on the lens. :(

great! i really like the two new shots.. it reveals better the work you put into it, at least in terms of what maxwell can show.

imho the first renders had very harsh lighting and seemed a bit to sharp.

Very good jojojoj,

Good work in the flash glass.

And the film box, that was getting a lot of noise when it was white SSS, looks way better now in black.

The whole image look more photoreal now.

Great improvement. Keep on with the good work?

Congrats!
