Hi all,
here's a shot:

Image

when i click "send to network" in Lw, it all goes fine until files are tranferred on nodes, then on some of these, render fails. Debug log says some dependencies (jpg or MXI files i use as textures) cannot be tranferred.
Strange thing is that this is 100% random. sometime it's all ok, other all node fails, other times some fails other work. Again, M_N_monitor tries again and again to send the stuff on nodes which fails to start rendering, and in some cases after 2-3 attempts it works.

Do you have any idea of what can cause this ? i use send dependencies but i dont put a path, since all stuff is in main shared directory.
thanks,
Paolo

This "random" thing reminds me of my issue with slow/delayed starting nodes ( viewtopic.php?f=72&t=37997 )
Maybe it's based on the same problem...?!?
My 'solution' so far is to disable "send dependencies". Now the jobs start almost every time on all nodes immediately. And if not, i can kill the node and re-add it to the job.
Not really 100% useful for full automated rendering, but it works...
I don't know what's the difference or the benefit in using "send dependencies" but without it it's working better for me.

hi,
it seems somehow to work. It tries a dozen times to send the scene and it fails, but the advantage is it's very fast in trying, so in less than one minute i had all nodes running. I wonder, anyway, why it fails a dozen times before getting everything ok.
