I added a new version of my Clarehouse project for work. As I haven't gotten my new workstation yet, I had to do this one in 2 renderings and composite in ps cs2. 4 million poly's, mostly trees... Thanks for looking!

Looking good. I think the diffusion effect makes it look less realistic than the first version, but it has a nice look to it.

Depends on what you are after - it's not a bad look, just not as realistic - that's all.

Sorry to hijack a bit, but I tried PM'g and it doesn't seem to be working again. Anyway, I saw your list of specs for your new machine and wondered where you ordered it from - if you don't mind my asking. I'm starting to research a new box as well.

Thanks in advance,

b

Sweet!! Nice work on the deck textue/mapping. Lots o good images in your gallery.

I like your banjo. I'm a musician and into modeling musical instruments, too. (But ya need to file those banjo fret ends cause they're gonna hurt my fingers. :o )

I did abalone for instrument inlays for the MXM 1500 deal. It was my first attempt... it came out rather psychedelic looking... too saturated, too bright.

simms: I ordered it from AVAdirect.com. They have a whole range of systems.

rshanks: Thanks! Yes, the frets hurt my fingers too. The banjo was my first high poly super accurate model, it was fun but it took me about a month. I sure learned alot though!
